Baby Picture Frame

Hello friends and family and followers!

Can you believe LIFE got in the way of me blogging about MY life??
It is sooo true...Just got busy and remember,
I am creative, but not very organized!

Here is a project I did as a present for my little sis and her one year old baby.
Happy B-Day little leprechaun!

Each compartment/opening can hold a 4x6 photo.
I decided to decorate only 3 of the openings.
(This way she can put in whatever pics she wants!)

I used a variety of stamps, punches and papers to fill each opening. Lots of embellishments, too! I bought this frame @ Hobby Lobby.

And now the final project!



BTW, I think she did a great job coordinating the
picture colors to the frame!

(It really looked way better than I could have imagined!)

Slow and lazy Sunday

Today we sat around and did nothin'.
I actually didn't even
get out of my PJ's till 5:00.
So, I showered and then, put on different pajamas!
I just LOVE these kind of days...

OHHH, Amazing Race is on tonight!
Can this day get any better??

Today is my hubby's bday!

I think we are both there...

Since it is Spring Break for the college boys,
and they are home,
we have been having great family dinners.
All 6 of us, back together!

BrickieFest 2011

Hello my computer friends,
March has arrived...both record cold and warmth!
Crazy weather.

This summer is our 25 year class reunion. 25 Years!

(I truly feel as though it was only a few years ago,
even though my 2 oldest graduated from high school as well.)

I am a member of the newly formed Hobart High School Alumni Association.
We are planning a kick-off celebration this summer called "BrickieFest 2011"
It is an all-class reunion and past graduates and staff are welcome!
The Alumni Association will be raising funds for the scholarships
and grants we plan on giving out next year.

So all you "Brickies" out there,

plan on being in town the weekend of July 30th.
Remember-
"once a Brickie, always a Brickie!"

All about me today

OK, sometimes when you are driving for hours
in a car, you get a bit wacky!

Anyhoo-Here are some interesting, maybe weird, things about ME!

1.I am addicted to Chap Stick. No really, I am.
Must have it at ALL times. Even in bed.

2. I bite my nails! Maybe I was a rabbit in a former life and feel I
must grind down the front teeth by chewing on something...who knows?

3. I only own 2 pairs of high heeled shoes...Just 2, black and brown

4. Speakin' of feet, I had bunion surgery when I was 23.

5. Speakin' of surgeries, I have had 8 or 9 that I can
think of right off the bat.
I am the $600,00 woman.
(You know, instead of the 6 million dollar woman)

6. I LOVE the Amazing Race (Go Cowboys) and Survivor,
Law & Order SVU,
Medium and of course,
Hoarders-Buried Alive!

7. I am convinced I have psychic abilities.
Can't prove it,
but I know it's true!

8. I have all my teeth. All 32. I have a big mouth.

9. I have never: had braces, plucked an eyebrow,
had a facial, had a mani/pedi...


10. Halloween is my favorite holiday!
I also love Zombies.

11. I got married when I was 20 years old,
and we're still married!

It was raining and believe it or not...
we had thunder AND lightning!

Here is a B-day card I made last night when I got
bored with the Oscars.
Yawn..It was kinda boring, admit it!

The papers are from Studio 8, but they have since
gone out of business.
OOOHHHH, can you believe I am actually
using papers from a long gone company!
I really liked them..so sad

Blizzard 2011

Hello followers,
We are actually at home this weekend...
We still had 3 indoor soccer games though.
Oh, to be the mother of boys...

I thought I would post some pics from the latest snowstorm.

BONZAI also loves the snow...Sometimes he has to be carried inside!

Yes, we own 2 Japanese Akitas names Sushi & Bonzai...he he he
I LOVE my furry babies.

I also love living in an area where we experience all 4 seasons!
Sometimes in one day!

2 Story Garage!!

Happy Hump day!
I just love Wednesdays! Always have!

This past weekend, the hubby and I drove to see
#1 son run at an indoor track meet.
Along the 3 hour drive I saw the cutest one
car garage/shed for sale!

(We actually have 2 garages.)
A newer 2.5 car garage which is full of cars and other crap.
And an old one car garage built from huge bricks.
It is in really bad shape. Just good for storing more crap!
Actually, we have a lot of our halloween decor in there.

Anyhow, the hubby said we can't tear that one down and
rebuild a new one UNTIL we can find a one car
garage with a high pitch roof to match the rest of
the house and other garage. YIPPEE!

I made him pull over and we went inside.
It is just perfect! It comes as a kit and they
assemble it on site!
Here is a video of my dream garage/shed.

Now, my plan all along is to take over that new
garage/shed for myself!!
I will call it "Craftopia" or maybe "Scrap-gra La"!
Seriously, I would take all my crafts, paints, wood, etc. and
cram it all in to that place. Then it wouldn't spill over
into the living areas of the house....

Oh to dream...I need to win the lottery!
P.S. Isn't my hubby handsome?!? I am so lucky!!

Good to be back...for now

Wow, what a crazy winter so far!
We all survived "snowpocalypse 2011"!
We did lose power and were snowed in for a few days,
BUT it is supposed to be near 60 tomorrow so it will be
gone by the evening. It will also be a
a melting, muddy mess...

I haven't crafted lately, but here's what's new.

1. Big "J" was officially accepted into Med School
2. Nathan turned 20! I can't believe it...
3. Cut 4+" off my hair. It is pretty short now and I am totally diggin' it.
4. I am 80% done with the craft room cleaning.
I have a scrapbooking retreat next month and I am busy getting my inventory ready.
We are one of the vendors and I like to bring a wide variety of goodies from my stash.
I will post pics tomorrow...
