Going to Semi-State!!

Huge News!!

The Cross Country team won Regionals!!
First time in 39 years...

What a great day it was.
(Collin ran a fantastic race. So proud!)

This Saturday is semi-state. If the team finishes in the top 5

WE ARE GOING TO STATE!

Great job boys and girls! And coaches...

My "baby" is a FRESHMAN!!

Conference for Cross Country

Soccer is finally over, YAY, and so is cross country...boo! Collin was seeded 5th and

ran a great race!

He finished 2nd!! Whooo Hooo!! He worked so hard this season.

(In spite of having terrible coaches.)

He runs like the wind!!

While waiting for the meet to start I, noticed some pretty cool things..

The colors of nature are absolutely amazing...and

We are surrounded by creatures...just take the time to look. The top pic has a full grown frog with only his eyes and mouth sticking out.  Can you find him? The bottom pic shows smaller, lighter frogs catching some rays on top of the algea or moss or lichen or whatever?!? I had to be very quiet and zoom in all the way to catch them above the water. 

Go for a walk outside and see what you can find!

Shrek and a movie

        It is an Allen family tradition! Every year we go to the drive-in on Memorial Day weekend. Plenty of bug spray and CANDY!! We saw Shrek and the new Robin Hood (not so good). I just love the DRIVE-IN. We had 2 people still on crutches so we had to adjust the seating some...Tell a good joke today!

I'm BACK!!

Hello again. I can't believe how busy I have become. That and the fact I broke my tailbone, (ouch) and my thumb, has hindered my creativity. But I can now sit with both cheeks flat, he he he, and my brace is off my hand!! Yay..Most important news first...Collin has once again won Conference for the mile and 800M run. I love watching him RUN! He thinks it must be the hair?!? Possible, I suppose. CONGRATULATIONS 7th grade boys for the team conference win also. All that hard work pays off!
