Slow and lazy Sunday

Today we sat around and did nothin'.
I actually didn't even
get out of my PJ's till 5:00.

So, I showered and then, put on different pajamas!
I just LOVE these kind of days...

OHHH, Amazing Race is on tonight!
Can this day get any better??

Here is a card I made after seeing something like
this ove
r at PTI. I do not remember the
original card maker but
I loved
the black and blue color scheme
and
the Life stamp set.
Check them out!

Enjoy!

Happy Birthday Card

Good Evening Friends,
We are getting crazy weather here!
It was raining and believe it or not...
we had thunder AND lightning!
In the middle of winter!
CRAZY

Here is a B-day card I made last night when I got
bored with the Oscars.
Yawn..It was kinda boring, admit it!

The papers are from Studio 8, but they have since
gone out of business.
OOOHHHH, can you believe I am actually
using papers from a long gone company!
I really liked them..so sad

Here is a close-up of the sentiment stamp from PTI.
It does look better in person, not so close.
Next we have the cute ribbon tab. I just love this ribbon!!

I actually bought the twine at the Dollar store!
Yippee!
Enjoy!

Baby Love

Don't children grow up sooo fast? Where does the time go?? Our oldest is 21 and the youngest is 14, we are done with the terrible two's, diapers, (I used a cloth diaper service) and sleepless nights...BUT that means we are also done with playdough, couch forts and living in a world of imagination!! I was fortunate to be able to be a SAHM and I enjoyed the good times and the not so good times...Now we are into sports, sports and cars!?!  Here are some welcome baby cards!
The footprints and saying are rubber stamps. I just mixed and matched the papers.

Enjoy!

Happy Father's Day card

Ok, I know the day has passed but I thought I would show how easy it is to make 2 cards from one 8 1/2 X 11 sheet of cardstock. I opened a new document in Microsoft word and used the landscape option. I then choose my font, and added two text boxes near the bottom of the page. (I used the ruler to determine about where the middle would be) Type in the text, add drop shadows if desired, then print.

This is what you will have (minus my GUIDELINES) of course! CUT along the solid line, you now have 2 pieces measuring 51/2 " wide X 81/2" tall. FOLD each piece in half  at 41/4"(dashed mark). I folded this particular card so the text is facing the front. I then added the striped paper and embellishments! Hope this explains it! Any questions, just contact me! Enjoy!

Friends Card

Don't we all have wonderful friends living hours or maybe even days away? It is so nice to just drop by the house for a quick hello....not so easy, if they now live in another state. This card would be perfect for just that friend. Pattern paper is from Luxe Designs and the text I did myself on Word. Cardstock is Bazzill and the ink was brown.

Congrats Graduates!

It is that time of year again. Open houses! Here is a card I created. The bottom text is a free font I downloaded off of KevinandAmanda.com. They have tons of free fonts and scrappy ideas. Check them out! You can not tell, but the top portion of the card is raised with pop dots for some dimension. Don't know who made that paper. Don't get stung by a bee!

Only 2 more weeks of school!!

This school year just flew by. Where does the time go? I have 2 at college, one in high school and one still at the middle school. I must admit I love the summer breaks...everyone is home. We try not to schedule anything over the summer, we all need a break!
FYI- I have yet to clean...It's not my fault though! My #3 son broke his ankle and a day later my hubby sprained his ankle very badly. I have TWO people on crutches, what are the odds?!?

Anyhoo...here is my cheery card for the day. The papers are from Pinecone Press and the punch is from Paper Shapers. I used black Colorbox ink for my edges. Enjoy!

Sunny and Saturday!

What a difference a day makes! I still haven't cleaned, but I did some crafting and volunteered at the Relay for Life event. So sad and inspirational at the same time!! What a way for the community to come together and celebrate strength, hope and life!!
Here is my card for the day, I love this blue flower paper! I cut 1" off from the front of the card and glued the green paper to the inside of the back portion. The papers are from Luxe Designs, (out of business) and the flower punch is Marvy. The button is from PTI and so is the twill. I love inking the edges and I used brown colorbox ink.

Play day for me!!

I am supposed to be doing the usual this Friday, which is cleaning...But it is rainy, overcast and just plain yucky outside soooo I am playing with paper today to bring some sunshine into the house. I can always clean later, right!?!  The cardstock is Bazzill,  pattern papers from a DCWV stack I bought at Jo-Anns, and the buttons are from PTI. This card could really be used for a variety of situations, I like that.
